Would you really trust someone as racist as Biden with packing the court?

lol, no of course he'd choose garbage justices. But the way the system is now is ridiculous.

Most Americans do not support court packing (the Biden team knows this which is why Biden
dodges the question everytime he is asked about it).

It is a really bad idea but I understand those on the left are upset that the Conservatives are now going to have a significant advantage.

Something being popular or unpopular with voters has never stopped Democrats or Republicans to do what they wanted though. I'm not sure Biden will actually do it, though the media and his campaign are already laying the groundwork by calling it "restoring justice the Supreme Court", which is wonderfully Orwellian tbh.

I think even if the dems win everything they won’t do the court packing. It would use up a huge amount of political capital and there’s no guarantee they’d even be able to do it. There’s probably quite a few dem senators who wouldn’t support it. I think Biden probably knows this and is probably why he’s not giving straight answers about it.

Shut the hell up, Trumper.

I was waiting for a democrat to be confronted about their hypocrisy over the term "sexual preference" and we didn't have to wait long:

Mazie Hirono snaps when reporter confronts her double standard on phrase 'sexual preference

Good stuff, she seemed to just shrug and talk about the supreme court, as if only someone on the court could damage LGBTQ people(which is not the narrative we got when Trump first announced he was running for president).

So she couldn't really defend this hypocrisy either my advice moving forward is to just be silent when you hear a conservative use the term "sexual preference" and avoid embarrassing situations like this 👆

The thing with Murkowski also is kinda funny. We saw the same thing with her and Collins with Bret Kavanaugh.

She stuck to her guns and didn't vote Kavanaugh, but now she will confirm ACB. I think she realized that all those people frothing at the mouth saying if she voted to confirm ACB they would not vote for her...would not vote for her no matter what lol.

And then we have this bizarre behavior from democrats who seem to be acting like it's less a matter of opinion and more a matter of fact that a left wing majority on the supreme court is preferable. Whenever they talk about "balancing" the courts we inevitably still end up with more left wingers than right.

Good.

I take it back, the Dems will try to pack the courts. If the numbers are there, they'll make Biden go along with it.

I'm not even all that certain Trump stopping at the last nom would matter. I think the Democrats and Republicans have been in an "All out war" mentality for awhile now, from before Trump was elected.

How god damn dare you take it back!

I'm gonna throw some ham steak at you.

So lets say they do pack the court.

Won't the Cons just pack it once they get to power?

It becomes like a game of ping pong.

Yep.

The thing is, if and when the democrats get back into power, they and their allies in social media/big tech with the help of the deep state and MSM will not allow a populist candidate to ever win again. They will resort to whatever means necessary, legal or not, to prevent that.

That's what they've been trying to do though. I think their failure made them lose the plot.

There are some safeguards dems could do to help them hold power for a long time. Making Puerto Rico, Washington DC and Guam states would give them 6 more senate seats and they could also pursue things like splitting CA and NY into two states to give them more senate seats as well. Doing all this would make it very difficult for the gop to ever get the senate back.

They’d also have to get rid of the filibuster so it would only require a majority to increase the number of justices and add the states.

Getting rid of the filibuster would probably be the hardest thing to do. Lot of democrats don’t want them to do that and wouldn’t vote for it.

I don’t think the court packing thing is going to happen though.

Supposedly the vote to confirm will be happening this evening.

Poor Democrats, they keep losing.
