T-Rex vs JAWS

T-Rex is wading in water close to shore, but out far enough to support a shark.

Who wins?

Shark wins.

Which Jaws?

Number one was 25 ft.

Number three was damn near megalodon size.

T-rex. Stronger bite; thrice as massive.
Not really a fair fight, imo.

you’re a bit off (no pun intended) on stuff...:

A T Rex averaged 40 feet, the OG Jaws 25 feet, bigger than the pictured example. So, not thrice as large.

Stronger bite? Probably. But...

...more than a fair fight considering the Shark is its element, and the T Rex isn’t. Even wading close to shore cuts down the dinosaur’s mobility and doesn’t hinder the Shark to any great degree (while Shark prefer to strike from below they’re perfectly capable of going straight in). One Shark bite and the T Rex is going to be bleeding out, thrashing around trying to hit a faster far more mobile target.

@riv6672 (quote function not picking you up. oh well.):

Please note that I said "thrice as -massive-" (as opposed to size/length). A big great white weighs in at about 5000 lbs, a T-rex about 16,000+ lbs (over 8 tons from what you posted). By contrast:

"what's believed to be the largest great white shark ever recorded in history. The predator — nicknamed “Deep Blue” and estimated to be 50-years-old — weighs in at 2.5 tons."

I'm also basing my response on that show from years back, "Animal Face-Off." The animal with the huge mass advantage pretty much always won, even if the larger animal was not a predator and the smaller one was.

Also water depth will matter. Just how much maneuvering room would the shark have and/or how slowed by water would the rex be. I'm presuming the depth would not overwhelmingly be in the shark's favor, to be most fair.

This is why I'm thinking, sure, the shark could win but likely won't. It could bite the rex and start a bleed out, but the rex could also get a hold of the shark and virtually bite it nearly in half.

Fair enough and ty for the reply.

Still going w. Jaws. Unless the T Rex can evolve some decent arms real quick it’s not going to be grabbing Jaws. It’s only recourse is to stick its head in the water, which is just another target for the Shark.

One of the larger versions of Jaws would win. Otherwise Rexy
