Lulz, I have it on DVD😛 Respekt, booyashaka.

Religion creates some funky ppl and beliefs.

Nah, mate, it's RESTECP, just ask mi'julie.

As an Alabaman myself, I don't give a shit what you think of us or our beliefs or politics, Blake, and I can guarantee you than no other Alabaman cares what you think either.

Heck, we don't even care what some of our own fellow Americans think of us; do you really think we would care what some little shit who lives an ocean away from us thinks?

Then stop replying to me.

Anyone in the west that defends Islam this hard, are useless scum to me.

The fact that in the West, we have the freedom to talk about anything, and a teacher was murdered because he dare to challenge Islam, and we have people here defending this, proves you people are the lowest of the low.

Islam (or any religion) would be a trivial matter to you but scores of its followers feel strongly about it - common sense.

Depictions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) is a forbidden practice as a safeguard against SHIRK (intentioned; unintentioned). Islam distinguish GOD from human prophets who were burdened with advancing his teachings; GOD is different from humans and does not have human-like relations and associations. There should be no Earthly attributes to GOD (SHIRK factor). GOD being an independent ENTITY make much more sense than a human being being perceived as one. No offense to Christians.

Depictions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) will render aforementioned Islamic consideration(s) moot. Islamophobes are not interested in Scholarly depictions; they desire unlimited liberty in making fun of Holy Prophet (PBUH) and/or disrespect him at leisure (where does this stop?). It is rather unreasonable to expect from Muslims to put up with this nonsense for indefinite period.

Islamophobes are unable to tell the difference between HATE SPEECH and Freedom of Expression - these people do not understand Islam either (and do not want to). They want to attack/insult/disrespect Islam + Holy Prophet (PBUH) + Muslims in their expressions - this wish to normalize this practice. They cry WOLF when blowback comes their way in any form. Is this the way forward for Mankind now?

Who is really the lowest of the low?

You want to start a new WAR or something?

I can't speak for France but in the USA the hardest thing about free speech is when someone says something you don't like it isn't a license to kill them even if it is hateful. The inability for someone to simply not kill someone else for words/pictures spoken isn't a problem with hate speech, it's a problem with self control and their belief system.

Friend,

It is important to draw a line somewhere.

Self-control is important consideration for all, not just the Muslims. Islamophobes tend to forget this when it comes to evaluating themselves.

People continue to kill each other over virtually endless considerations meanwhile. But let us single out and attack Muslims worldwide? Does this make sense?

Islamophobes are on the verge of advancing a new form of Social Evil shaped by their prejudices. This needs to stop for the greater good of mankind.

Islamophobia is a made up word to prosecute people for criticizing Islam and Muslims.

Scholarly studies disagree with you on this.

Criticizing Islam and Muslims is one thing - doing so in sensible ways is another.

In this very thread, it is apparent that Islamophobes do not desire productive conversations, they do not strive for inter-faith harmony. They just want to badmouth Islam and Muslims to the extent possible. You consider this criticism?

Yes.

This is HATE SPEECH to be precise.

Islamophobia = People continue to kill each other for different reasons worldwide but let us single out Islam and Muslims for ridicule among all causes and make this fashionable.

Clear enough?

There are much better ways to discuss/criticize Islam when necessary.

A society cannot be productive in its functions by incorporating blatant forms of intolerance and HATE SPEECH in its expressions and practices. This is a slippery slope towards limitless chaos - corruption and mischief in the making.

I don’t disagree.

@Old Man Whirly!

Mate, you are one of the sane voices in this thread - credit where due.

Yes, Obama seldolmy used that term, not because he wasn't opposed to islamist terrorism though, I think that would be an unfair characterization.

I don't think he's pro terrorism, but I do know if Trump tip toed around calling a white supremacist terrorist a white supremacist in the same way folk would throw a fit.

The defense I've seen(and it seems lame) is that he doesn't wanna offed non-hyper violent muslims by mentioning Islam. It begs the question why would a non-hyper violent muslim even care that someone was called an islamist terrorist.

It may in fact be hate speech but our first amendment protects our right to say whatever hateful stuff we wanna say. However, it only protects people from the government, it doesn't protect them from someone who might be offended by it.

So, would Muhammad approve of people killing in his name?

@S_W_LeGenD

Define hate speech, and then prove why it's bad and then prove why you're interpretation is the right one.

I didn't mention the religion specifically because any jusstification for such a barbaric act isn't justified, it isn't just islam. There isn't any sort of justification you can make to defend such an action.

Such an act simply helps to solidify beliefs against islamic practioners, no different than if the usa bombs in the middle east and ppl form a negative opinion because of such actions.

Funny when The Life of Brian was made to criticize Christianity and their beliefs, Christians were pissed off, but I’ve yet to read any story where Christians were killing people over that.
