Either way, notsoSuperman knocking him out means jackshit

There's nothing prior to this that shows Key having the durability to take a punch from an angry, determined 8th grader let alone a fully grown man in Clark's shape.
Not knowing how he lifted the key is the problem. Keep the head canon to yourself

PERHAPS, due to all the negative space mumbo jumbo he's talking and "no door" being closed and whatnot, as he also escaped from the doorless mind prison MMH trapped him in MAYBE just MAYBE he's able to lift the key because in his mind he's able since it's just any other key to him 🤔

I think it's because it's unclear as to what this damage is?

Like if my friend takes my car and scratches it up.....that doesn't mean the car's performance is affected, or that it's suddenly much lighter. I'd still have to get it fixed though.

Or if he takes my key from its secret hidey place, and I have to fix it i.e. put it back..

It's just inconclusive, and to add anything beyond what the text writes is just trying to serve our own purposes.

I mean, I could posit the theory that the Key in Rebirth has.....power over keys or some metaphysical powert hat enabled him to lift it, but that's neither here nor there.

Bingo. It doesn’t add really any additional context

I think the Superman hating group can’t accept how a weakened Superman easily knocked out a guy that can lift half a million tons with his fingertips(class 100 strength guy would have trouble with this). That’s why they are calling Key a powerless foe, and even questioned the weight of the key.

Also I'm sorry but THIS is THE stupidest illogic ever. Dropping a 100 pound plate on any part of my body would break it, but I've benched 315 and squatted 405. Your argument is ignorant as hell, man. So now people can't lift weights that's break them if dropped on them? 🤣🤣🤣 Stop debating, seriously. In general.

Hey if you dropped one of those 5 ton plates that cranes use for leverage on your finger will your finger not get crushed? If you were invulnerable then your finger would be fine. That’s the point of key picking up the key that weighted half a million tons. His fingers should not have been able to life the key but he did and since his finger didn’t get crushed than implies he has a level invulnerability. Common sense bro.

😂 read my post again because as usual you missed the point. Like the key not having a gravitational pull. 😂 talk about stupid statements that one is right up there as one of the stupidest non Alberto quotes ever.

"powerless foe"

Yeah, Because. He. IS. If he's able to lift it simply due to it being a key then its weight doesn't matter 🥴 as he isn't able to actually lift half a million tons.
I WOULD do a montage of KEY being rocked to sleep by a regular human every time he's popped up to prove he has the durability of a wetnap, but you don't even know the character 😂

So are we all agreed now that Rebirth and pre 52 characters are the same now then?

Wait, why did he say that? It doesn't make one drop of sense.

Personally, I have no issue with a weakened Superman knocking out an opponent who lifted the key. Superman is strong enough, that it is possible.

This was a powerless Superman. It would be no less dumb if Thor or Bruce Banner did the same.

1 Punisher or other street characters are not involved here. I never mentioned them
2 My point about the scans that Superman tanked key's blast is he is far more stronger than ordinary people who will surely die from a gun shot, who can't dodge a heat vision from Superman, who can't tank a nuclear explosion in their faces. I.E, When I said normal humans I was referreing to people like ourselves in common sense
3 The main point of my post is he was indicating stronger than our humans. And how strong he is? He beats a guy who lifted a key that weights millions of tons.
4 The comic never gives any more addtional context about how did the key lift Superman's key aside from the first page. And you do realize that the implication you mentioned also can be argued right? The topic asking who can repeat this SPECIFIC feat within this SPECIFIC story. You can say this feat performed by the key is PIS but since the topic was asking this specific showing in this story so we takes what this story says

My point was that living after a blast from a Kirby laser =/= superhuman. If a bullet bounced off his chest, I would 100% agree with you.

As stupid as it sounds, in comics, a human is many times more likely to survive being blasted with a laser and getting up than a gun.

It barely adds context, but it does add something, it was mentioned. That's much less of a leap than Superman is superhuman even without solar radiation, being able to leap buildings and stop trains because of Earth's weaker gravity. I dislike inserting fan theories into a comic. It's basically making shit up. If we have to, let's choose the path of least resistance.

because you and Alberto don’t have a single working brain cell between the both of you.

maybe you don’t alberto and carver definitely feel that way. Superman also tanked a shot to his chest from Key.

The entire book IMO was inconsistent and badly written..

do did someone dumb down my “illogical” post to you? Or do you want me to draw pictures to help? But seeing your comics reading comprehension I doubt the pictures will help.

😂 Doesn't matter, go ahead. Explain why that post was "logical" I always need a laugh from you

But what you mentioned werent ordinary people.Like I clarified when i referred normal people i mean literally an ordinary people like you and me.
Nevertheless,My point is there are no direct indications that key used something to help him lift fortress' key. The only thing that very clearly depicted on panel is the first page he lifted fortress' key
It was PIS to key caused by the writers error imo

Tsk tsk. You originally said “That’s a good deal of context lmao. Why hasn’t anyone mentioned that” 😛

I really don’t see it adding any context what’s so ever. Do I think there likely was something behind the scenes that allowed him to do it? Yes. But nothing was confirmed nor did they even give a vague reference how it was possible *shrugs*

Rage was just so excited.
