evy, i totally understand not wanting to go out with a friend. *lol* i've had a bit of a crush on a good friend of mine for some time now...and i would never think of telling him for fear of making things awkward between us. ^_^*

I do agree that we have become too nervous not dating a friend, but before you do it, you have to know either you really want something serious or just fool around. If it's the second, then it doesn't worth it.
And you definately shouldn't go out with a friend of yours when you know that, after your relationship, there will be fights and grudges against each other.
There's a friend of mine who is *very* handsome and all of the girls had a crush on him! All! Anyway, something happened between us at a party (I couldn't help it, he's gorgeous... 🙄 ) and since then there's always tension and awkwardness between us, as Narcil mentioned... 🙁

If it is the right person it is worth it...
