The movie I liked the most is The Matrix.
I like this film because it offers a very interesting vision of the future, with machines taking over, not very far from what could happen. And then there are special effects which are still very beautiful today.

As far as standalone movies go, this might not be my absolute favourite because it's tough to narrow it down, but I LOVE Gladiator. That movie is f***ing awesome.

I like a lot of series' and trilogies also, but don't really like picking just one from them as my "favourite movie."
