I did consider AMD. Intel caught up.But wait!
AMD just released their 5000 series, which I didn't know.
So I looked up a comparison article and actually found this:
It looks like Ryzen is now 1.75 generations ahead of intel, again. Based on those performance specs.
And based on cores, it can render 4K HD video faster(which I edit from time to time). So it looks like I need to revisit the motherboard, CPU, and even the GPU for the build. The next gen AMD GPUs are supposed to hit some significant "ecosystem" performance when combined with their new 5000 series CPUs.
Based on that, I could do the following:
MoBo and CPU:
But for the GPU, I'd have to wait until AMD releases their new Radeon 6000 series. November 17th.
For GPU nvidia may still be the best choice because of driver optimization. Dunno if it’s still true but AMD is known for having issues with their drivers.

AMD had some monstrous issues with their drivers back in the day.
Not sure, today. I'll do some more look up. But it looks like I need to wait on the PC build just a few short more days until AMD releases their new GPUs.
Black Fridays. Black Days.
