True but this then causes the problem of why the **** is Palpatine laughing if Vader just blocked his path to immortality... and if he can transfer into anyone why didn't he have Kylo strike him down?
But then Palpatine later states that had made the same "proposal" to Luke during RotJ(ie. strike me down in anger, and I will transfer my essence into you.)
