There gop is currently favored to win the house in 2022.

Ddm is right. It was a red wave in all races except the presidential one. And the only reason it isn’t getting more attention is because of all the drama going on about the presidency.

In local down ballot races it was a red wave too.

Dems really need to figure out how to adjust their branding and ideas and how to appeal to the working class people who used to make up the back bone of their party. Those people seem to be Republican now.

The most obvious answer is probably to focus less on woke issues. Though it’s difficult because the dems have a pretty big tent that includes moderates to socialists. So even if it’s only a few of them focusing on woke or other controversial issues republicans will focus like a laser on those and amplify that to make it sound like the party as a whole is on board with it.

Perhaps the answer is to look at what Biden did. He largely ignored those things and he won. He ran not as a hardcore leftist but as a moderate democrat.

I had similar thoughts. They really do need to abandon their woke bullshit that only appeals a small portion of left-wingers who just screeeeeee too loudly.

They need to double down on policy results. If they come out in solidarity for the Anti-Corruption Act, they'd have Americans voting for them for 50 years. They are just too corrupt and dumb to actually give the American people what they want. If the Dems came out in support of it, it would be impossible for the GOP to justify opposition to it. 🙂 If they did, it would expose them for the evil murderers they are.

But the Dems won't do that. They don't REALLY want to win elections and implement policies Americans want. They are every bit the evil pieces of shit the GOP are but they pretend not to be and lie about not being so...making them worse, IMO.

It looks like 2022 could result in a small to moderate red wave, again, depending on what happens in the next 2 years. A lot can go wrong these next two years for Biden because Biden is being handed a shit-show.

How far off were the polls for the presidential election?

Depending on the poll, sometimes as much as 10%+.

The title of this thread is hilarious. Of course no one is talkinga bout it. Well. The Main Left Wing Propaganda Machine known as The Media will NEVER talk about it.

I like that DDM is american and he said essentially the same thing I said, it gives me hope for your country biscuits

It just means you're smart if you thought of those things already.

That, or I'm secretly plagiarizing you.

I feel the dems will still hold onto the house and gain in the senate in 2022.

As for afterwards, no idea...

Too many unknowns for me to make an educated guess at this point.

But I will remember what you said, here, and talk about it in 2022.

I think I should know more by the end of 2021 to make a decent assessment of what will happen in 2022. I was able to correctly predict the minor red wave that we saw in the house.

2020 has seen an unimpressive red wave in both houses. 👆

I think 2022 will be more of a blue shift. 👆

We only have one House. And it was a moderate red-wave. They are at 14 seats flipped, so far. Estimate is 21 seats will flip, total. That's not slight but it is not big, either.

Unimpressive would be a net gain of 5 seats.

80 seats or more is huge flip, IMO.

When I said "both houses" I meant the senate and the house of representatives. Anyway, the dems have already won a majority in the HOR, despite it being less than last time.

If the total is 21 flipped seats, that would mean the Dems lost every major contested race. That's a big deal and should send red flags to the Dem leadership. This is part of why I want to work for them and help them fix their strategy.

kudos 👆

That’s the case last i heard. Dems have lost every toss up house race. Or pretty close to it. That’s a huge red flag especially in a year where they saw such high turnout.

I think Trump coup is going to have an impact as the GOP have pretty much backed him. People are not going to like that.
