Remember when Al Franken apologized for his behavior and ended up stepping down, claiming responsibility for his actions and maintaining that if he didn't, he wouldn't be holding himself to the same standards he expects of his colleagues and political opposition? I bring this up because it was a moment in which I respected a politician (and politicians suck.)

Actually there have been plenty of studies that show simply being born into a poor family drastically decreases your ability to move out of that demographic.
