Embarrassing is not the word... and next Brexit.

Whirly you should go home and help fix the problems in your own country

"UN agency will help fund food parcels for those affected by coronavirus crisis in Southwark, south London"

Sure, but look on the bright side, it's happening and I assume it's needed.

Why did they stop?

yeah, ten years of the Tories got us here. I have always postal voted against them. Southwark is South London, the next Borough over from Lewisham, it's always been poverty ridden.

Only ten years? Weren't Thatcher's policies taking milk out of mouths of school kids back in the 80's.

I do find it offensive when first world countries like the US and UK have starving people, as there's no real excuse. The US alone throws away billions in food each year and we pay our farmers not to grow, to keep the prices up.

I'd be surprised if they aren't already in the USA this holiday, our congress is a ridiculous joke that hasn't done jack to help our most needy citizens.

Yes they were, but the 80's under Thatcher after we had joined the EU saw a boost for many people although some working classes communities were destroyed, the Blair years improved everything. Then, ten years of this lot after the global crash has wrecked every improvement.

Yeah no G7 country should have abject poverty for kids.

Pretty much. One day we can stick pins in effigies of popularist politicians over a pint.

I actually like European Lagers, but I like Irish stout too. 🙂

Great Britain has had disappointing, shameful leadership for a long time now, ever since Tony Blair disgraced himself by willingly going along with the Iraq Invasion.

The Tories right now

I remember trick or treating with a Unicef box and I'd have lots of coins to donate.

Just go ahead and add that F and C to the U.K!
