Rune King Thor vs Chaos War Hercules

Started by Astner2 pages

Both Thor and Hercules supposedly surpassed Odin and Zeus, respectively, and they both gave up their powers to save the universe, but defeating Mikaboshi is a greater feat than anything accomplished by Thor.

So why they could very well be equals, I'm giving it to Hercules.

First off RKT isn't really a battle boards type power up. It basically just gives him further knowledge, omniscience etc. Sure it put him Skyfather ++ when he defeated Mangog but thats about it. Herc should still win.

And lol @abhi "correcting" people like he's some kind of disciplinarian or something

You have been "corrected" Rage dont let it happen again 🤣🤣

Mangog was drained when RKT defeated him.

What have you done with Rage?

We dont have to lie and constantly wank our hero. Our hero has limits. Which makes his story good. Superfags stories are trash now because they can't go back without retconning. Him losing to anything other than an omniversal level threat now is pure trash storytelling. **** superfag

RKT > Odin and destroyed Yggdrasil. Yggdrasil is a Continent and WoG caps Odin at Planet Level. CW Hercules took on a Multi-Galaxy to Universal threat. He stomps.

he obviously did, that was the whole point of the ragnarok storyline

Not in terms of power.

Well, someone has to do it.

"Thor never surpassed Odin."

While I agree RKT is *very* overrated, he has surpassed Odin.

"The Runepower granted him abilities beyond those of even the Odinforce"

Note: Apparently I'm not well-known enough to post links, so I had to break the image link down. Just remove the spaces and it should work.

That's not from an official source. Odin knew runes too.

Lmao what? It's from The Mighty Thor Saga #1. How is that not official?

Alright, its a digital comic. But the actual comic states that Odin knew of runes too.

Anyway since Dambo is backing out of the BZ, I'll make my argument right here.

RKT got Odinforce and Runes just like Odin did. From Thor 84.

Unlike Odin he had to die and reborn to get the power of the runes because the cyclic nature of Ragnarok made sacrifices lesser, that's why Thor had to pluck out both his eyes instead of one.

Thor had only one advantage on Odin, he had lived as a mortal (which was a gift from Odin) and thus his actions were shielded from both Those who sit in the Shadows and Odinforce itself.

Recap and ending page of Thor 85 says the same.

Thor wasn't more powerful or knowledgeable than Odin, he was shielded from the older gods and fates themselves due to having lived as a mortal.

Glad u agree it's official. 👆

Btw it was a published and printed book and not digital.

It was most definitely a universe only and rage has been corrected on it multiple times.

I’m not going to go back and forth with you for a second time about this. Universe and Multiverse might be used interchangeably once or twice but it’s reiterated multiple times as the Multiverse. I’m not arrogant enough to assume I know what the word Multiverse means but Greg Pak does not. He had an interview and confirmed that Mikaboshi predates the 616 and wants to destroy existence, not just the Universe.

A COIE style crossover would be nice but even with Wanda’s no more mutants or Surtur in the last burning arc we still had intense debate, so I don’t think anything will satisfy certain people.

CosmicBookNews: Can you tell us a bit about the Chaos King? With the Silver Surfer and Galactus involved, he must pose a pretty big threat, more so than we have seen of him as Mikaboshi? (Chaos King being Mikaboshi‘s true form finally revealed?) Galactus is said to be from before the Big Bang. Does the Chaos King predate that and is that why Galactus takes notice?

Fred Van Lente: Yes, you are correct – According to Japanese mythology, Amatsu-Mikaboshi is the Void that pre-dated all existence. All existence, even the universe that Galactus originates from. In his original, Terran form, he laid waste to Olympus and killed Zeus in the ARES mini-series.

Since then, and his departure from Earth in Secret Invasion, he has taken over the realm of the Skrull gods and has been engorging himself on the pantheons of other alien races – including the Shi’ar, as seen in Assault on New Olympus. So he is more powerful than ever before – arguably, he’s the most dire threat the Marvel Universe has ever faced.

Greg Pak: Most supervillains want to rule the world, or maybe the universe. Not return all existence to the chaos and darkness that existed before creation itself. The Chaos King is a whole new kind of threat.

In his imagination, he’s the final authority of what counts and what doesn’t.

Yes.

Digital-exclusive comics indeed don't count on KMC per forum rules, abhi didn't make it up.

But:

1) that rule is obsolete af,

2) Marvel likes to actually print those comics later, anyway:

Its good that he clarified in his own comic that it was just universe, huh?

I did a Google image search and nothing came out. I never claimed to be omniscient.

No matter how old Thor gets he’s a chump compared to odin
