Attn! UK members- a question?

My wife works with someone who says they just got back from a vacation in London, England. This lady claims that in England , you can't flush toliet paper in a toliet?(They supposely have special containers that the paper is put in, then it is picked up frequently. Also she said that if you want to drive your car before 7am , you must contact the police/transportation dept and let them know and register with them? This sounds too crazy to be true(and I do not think it is true) but I just had to ask!

Not as far as I know. There may be some public toilets somewhere that prefer collection because the toilets were being blocked but that could happen anywhere.

contact the police? no...she could be talking about the congestion charge..........but that's when you have to pay a £5 charge when you want to drive in certain parts of london......as for the loo thing...........no truth whatsoever.......

Well there are this special toillets that you cant put normal toilet paper in them! But I saw it in France!
