TV Tropes is unreliable

It has too much nitpicking elitists that overanalyze the entertainment industry such as films, television, radio and books/comics. They like to hate on a series for very petty reasons. It's like they do not even want to enjoy anything and just want to criticize something for the sake of it just to make them look intelligent. They complain way too much and act butthurt about anything thats in pop-culture.

According to them, everything is a trope.

I think it's a pretty interesting side, fun to read and has a lot of interesting thoughts on different media. Unreliable, idk what that means really, in this context.

Agreed, some of the pages can be hilarious. And insightful, on certain animes, games, shows ect.

And yeah everythings a trope there, its in the name. Nitpicking whether something qualifies as a trope or not is ironically the type of elitist over analyzation the op is complaining about.
