But while the right-wing youth activist may not think DUI criminal defense attorneys belong in federal office, he may be grateful to have had one such lawyer himself.

Last week, Fournier, 27, appeared in a Guilford County, North Carolina courtroom in connection to a slate of serious traffic offenses, including driving while impaired, aggressive driving, driving to endanger, and fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, court records show. The offenses came from a February 2021 traffic stop and arrest where Fournier—who had been charged with a DWI in the same county four months prior—was booked after driving 101 miles an hour.

Fournier has nearly one million Twitter followers and is the co-founder of Turning Point Action. Last year, the other Students For Trump founder, John Lambert, was sentenced to 13 months in prison for masquerading as a lawyer with an Ivy League degree. Fournier, who helped Lambert create the fake law firm, testified against him, in return for avoiding charges.

On September 27th 2023, X user JudicialProtest wrote, "Why is Judge Engoron's Principal Law Clerk, Allison R. Greenfield, palling around with Chuck Schumer." He then shared an image of the clerk and the Senate Majority Leader posing for a picture.

On October 3rd 2023, the second day of his civil fraud trial, Trump attached a screenshot of that post to his Truth Social account, with a message falsely labeling Greenfield the "girlfriend" of Schumer, resulting in the judge issuing him a gag order.

Brock Fredin, the 40-year-old Wisconsin resident behind the JudicialProtest account on X, has a prolific history of civil and criminal litigation over his harassment of women that echoes his attacks on Greenfield.

Fredin has been hit with 50-year restraining orders, barring him from contacting three women, and he has been criminally convicted multiple times for violating two of those orders.

In the YouTube video, which was titled "Mohn's Militia - Call To Arms For American Patriots," Mohn is seen wearing gloves and holding his father's head in a plastic bag. Later, the head can be seen in a cooking pot.

Mohn says his father was a federal employee for 20 years and refers to him as a traitor, calling for the death of all federal officials, attacking President Joe Biden's administration, the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQ community and antifa activists. YouTube removed the video, which is more than 14 minutes long, hours after it was posted.

A California man with a history of political violence was sentenced on Friday to 20 years in prison for repeatedly attacking police with flagpoles and other makeshift weapons during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

David Nicholas Dempsey’s sentence is among the longest among hundreds of Capitol riot prosecutions. Prosecutors described him as one of the most violent members of the mob of Donald Trump supporters that attacked the Capitol as lawmakers met to certify Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential election victory.

Dempsey, who is from Van Nuys, stomped on police officers’ heads. He swung poles at officers defending a tunnel, struck an officer in the head with a metal crutch and attacked police with pepper spray and broken pieces of furniture, prosecutors said. -snip
