Even if you wanted to make that argument, most of the times Superman is controlled or influenced, it's only partial. It's rarely complete control.

Doom and Cap say hi.

Doom has superpowers. Cap doesn't (well a little). Would love to see Cap resist Tp. Any scans or issue numbers?

Cap resisted Quentin Quiere's tp an omega level telepath. He completely blocked him out, he only saw a gigantic shield. Iirc it was in Avengers vs X-Men

I was referring to being controlled by telepaths, not seeing illusions or being trapped in someone's mind. Cap couldn't stop from seeing illusions when they were projected on him.

Cap does not fall for the illusions for long through smarts (he realizes it's a trick).

It was love (not will) that overpowered Hatemonger power. If Cap didn't have much love then he would have fell victim.

So those arent good examples. I'm referring to times a character is being controlled (like a puppet). Not times a character realizes that they are witnessing illusions.

But they break through the illusions with willpower.

The illusions are created by.... TP.

Ergo....

smarts, not will

Every single time?

To defeat an illusion you must first know its an illusion, which usually takes smarts.

But lets say that you are correct. My point wasnt about illusions, it was about being controlled (like professor X making someone go to sleep).

Maybe i didn't explain myself properly. My fault.
