Ugh this again, that doesn’t matter considering we only really know about like...4 Sith in the Canon and they haven’t shown anything near Legends Luke level. It also really doesn’t matter since all Sidious did was fire off lightning. Feat wise and so forth Luke has everything in his corner.
This All Jedi and All Sith nonsense really has to stop because neither showed anything quantifiable for an actual fight. All that happened was a lightning vs saber struggle, that in no way says anything about what sort of power could be used in a fight other than Sidious lightning. Do we know if it’s just specific Jedi and Sith being talked about and the All is just referring to All the top or named Jedi/Sith?
Do we know even if all their power can be drawn on all at once? How big is apparent amplification? There’s quite a few questions that haven’t been answered here.
Well obviously I’m not saying a single schmuck SL could do so, not really my point here. Also I don’t recall any ships being destroyed, it seemed more like a giant EMP thing and if it did destroy any ships bigger than a freighter, then those in snubfighters were extremely lucky or the FL got weaker as it spread out.
But if Lightning is all ROS is going to do I don’t see why Luke here couldn’t manage, and again the All Sith/Jedi thing isn’t quantifiable other than Sidious’ lightning.
I mean is it just power involved with the individual just be amplified? Can techniques of the past be used that others knew? Is there a certain amount of power that can be accessed at a time before one kills themselves?
It's difficult to do cross-fiction (I'd basically call canon a different fiction for these purposes given the lack of a clear scaling anchor between canon and legends) versus with Legends characters due to the extreme range of feats for them - you have plenty of reason to believe that Legends Luke is on the level of lower-end interpretations of Superman, but then you also have him struggle with 4 YVH droids. Granted, a lot of Luke's lower-end feats can be handwaved by his propensity to hold back a lot (as admitted even IU), but it probably doesn't rationalize it completely.
ROS Sidious has an advantage in that he doesn't have the opportunities to have that many lower-end feats. If we use reasonably higher-end Luke (which I think is fair - he tends to scale up and down to his competition) and we don't say Sidious lifted the fleet at the beginning of the film, I'd say Luke *could* win by virtue of his performances against Abeloth, UnuThul, and DE Sidious (the latter of which was a massively pre-prime Luke).
Sidious's main points are:
- having the power of "all the sith" - if this literally translates into in-the-moment combat power, then Sidious would have a case for winning, but then again UnuThul has trillions of killiks and Luke stomped him.
- lightning feat against the fleet - depends on whether you think this is just raw lightning with zero amplification effects baked into the technique (e.g. if it was a proto-force storm)
