thats one theory. I dont think that is mecha g tho. How and why would they put skin on it
They put Ghidorahs brain in mecha g parts. So I think Godzilla is sensing Ghidorah but cant find him, thats why he is specific attacking APEX cybernetkc sites around the world. Trying to stop Ghidorah.
But that still doesn't tell me why he attacked the fleet carrying Kong besides an ancient war between the species
As of now, Kong’s durability isn’t even on the same planet as Godzilla’s. Godzilla survived a multi-mega ton nuke, and Kong was ko’d by napalm. Granted Kong was young, and I’m assuming he’s going to get massive stat upgrades by the time we get to Godzilla vs Kong time. But, from what we’ve seen so far, Godzilla should win easily.
Maybe Godzilla smelled the Skullcrawlers on Kong and he hates them too? But then he realized that Kong wasn't one. Whatever happened we know Godzilla or one of his race has been close enough to Skull Island for Kong's worshippers to get their hands on a back plate.
All we know for certain is that Kong is indeed Apex class as he completely ignored Ghidorah's call to arms and the only other one who did was Godzilla.
so, this isn't official but sounds like Kongs kind alwas an invasive species back in the day, they were becoming intelligent and were beginning to make their own civilization and then there was a "war" between either titans or humans and titans.
Yes, this lore is really good. I have seen every Godzilla and Kong movie made, almost all of the comics and this is more interesting to me then any of the other backstories.
Just hoping the script is decent and we get more of the fights that they promised.

Kong was hurt by human bullets, not even heavy ordinance or something, bullets, and napalm. His size is also bizarre. Kong putting his handprint on one of his ancestor's handprint in the trailer demonstrates he is not substantially larger than other adults of his species, as well. But we already know they weren't the size of Godzilla. So we're already at a point where the upcoming movie makes the size and power of Kong's species inconsistent with established lore. Godzilla's fights with Ghidorah were an entire order of magnitude above anything we're likely to see in the upcoming movie imho.
So, 1. Godzilla should win.
2. Kong will win in the movie. Legendary's Goji license is only good for one more movie, makes sense for them to favour the monster they can keep using no matter what happens.
