Hey, as for the height of the actor who plays Gambit is concerned here are a few (slightly geeky) frames of reference:
Wolverine is 5'3", whereas Jackman is 6'3".
Cyclops is 6'1", but Marsden is only 5'11".
Colossus is 6'6" in natural form, 7'5" in armoured form, Cudmore slots between the two at 6'8".
Gambit, depending on your source material, is either 6'1", 6'2" or 6'3". If they, or we, want the characters to be roughly to scale (Wolverine being the anomaly) then the actor chosen has to measure up at about 6'2"+ I reckon.
Personally i'm still in the Bamford (6', but we can put him in big boots) camp, especially after seeing the mock-up at the beginning of this thread. So long as a) He can act & b) I certainly ain't the first to say it and I certainly won't be the last, he's gotta nail down that Cajun accent.
use this to talk about who should play gambit: http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&postid=2593960#post2593960
and this to any other character: http://www.killermovies.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=20331
