In short: It's slow, it's messy, he spends far too much time on the "but what does it MEAN to be American?!" question instead of answering it. It feels very... like he's patting himself on the back a lot throughout, showing us how deep and thoughtful he is, but in the end, all we're left with is a badly written story, a badly characterised Cap and little else to show for it. And if I'm being honest, I think he's just a tad racist.
