If I was at a zoo and a bunch of kids were looking at a tiger in a cage and that cage door suddenly start to open and that tiger starts coming out but I rush in and shut and hold that door closed as long as I can while that tiger is trying to get out, and tell those kids to run because I don't know how long I can keep that tiger in?!???? Now did that tiger get out or did I stop that tiger from releasing himself????

So explain how him putting his hands around an energy field means the energy field stays in tact. Unless you're giving him energy manipulation powers?
