1- golem’s kill shot is omega beams. They don’t destroy the surroundings.
2- we’ve seen the golem attack and no solar system got destroyed when fighting Hal.
3- Orion had a mission to get hell, he fails the NG’s die. So before the golem to shoot him with the omega beams he went all out to destroy him but ended up destroying the system.
4- Orion could not die there or fail that’s why he wasn’t holding back.
