Did you watched Zack’s version? Every time they were on screen, they were playing for keeps.

Cyborg went full crazy on steppenwolf in the underground tunnel. Diana wanted to kill Stepp everyone they met. Hell, Diana killed all those killers at the beginning of the film casually.

Clark first scene after stopping steppenwolf axe, was to give him a beat down with a combination of heat vision and even slicing his horn.

So yeah, this League do not play around.

You can argue they wouldnt when fighting other heroes, but that would kinda defeat the purpose of a versus match up methinks.
