They were going against Starbreaker's power so it was probably a lot more than that.

Honestly him just pulling Darkseid from The Source Wall(sorta repeated with Highfather's Staff) along is a lot more impressive than what Gladiator did, let alone breaking the planet sized hole.

Unless the writer had an explanation that didn't get through(something burning it for example) I imagine this was them just ****ing up on no atmosphere.
