there no proof 0f this though. He was more surprised than harmed. Surprised that his attacks accomplished nothing. He was basically able to regenerate from from all attacks. We don’t know if he was weakened just that he was beaten up.

Yeah Knull was weakened but even then Surfer was harming him with small suns even with his armor on. Weird.

But Superman’s heat vision can accomplish the same thing. Burn off the black and then burn him out.
