Oh lordy!

The documents reveal Trump and his allies’ increasingly desperate efforts between December and early January to push bogus conspiracy theories and cling to power – and the struggle of bewildered justice department officials to resist them.

“These documents show that President Trump tried to corrupt our nation’s chief law enforcement agency in a brazen attempt to overturn an election that he lost,” said Carolyn Maloney, chair of the House of Representatives’ oversight committee, which released the emails on Tuesday. -snip

That was already known before Trump set off the insurrection on Jan 6th, more proof will not sway Trumpers, they're a cult, and the GOP will continue to downplay and lie over what happened. Another GOP lawmaker has come out and said their was no violence on Jan 6th. The far and few Republicans who have broken ranks and acknowledge the GOP is pushing the Big Lie, they get attacked and from within.

So Trump tried to steal a win. Didn’t he already try taking Georgia and failed twice?

‘Unabated crime wave as president’: Former prosecutor says Trump must be prosecuted
‘If he is not held accountable, if we don’t prosecute him, then what we are doing is we are encouraging tomorrow’s version of Donald Trump,’ Glenn Kirschner says

"If he is not held accountable, if we don’t prosecute him, then what we are doing is we are encouraging tomorrow’s version of Donald Trump," -snip

He's 100% absolutely correct, but this will require bipartisanship in our congress and most Republicans can't even bring themselves to admit they lost a fair election and that there was an insurrection/attack on our capital spurred by Trump, most can't even admit there was an attack to begin with. They will put party before country as they have been doing, no reason to believe they'd suddenly change course at this point.

I hope Trump runs in 2024. It would be the final nail in the coffin.

2024 is going to be hilarious if Trump runs again. Pence will likely be a candidate.

The forceful pushback from McConnell shows his alarm about the latest aggressive move by Democrats to engage in retrospective oversight that could expose Trump for misusing the vast power of the federal government to pursue his political enemies.

McConnell is human pond scum, but he's not stupid, he is fully aware that Trump was using the DoJ as his own personal attack agency, among other crimes and he'll do whatever it takes to keep it secret for as long as he's alive. They're deplorables.

Oops: Trump Admits Biden Won During Interview on Fox News

More than seven months after the 2020 election, Trump appears to admit his defeat. In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump said the results of the 2020 election were "shocking."

"We got them by surprise in '16, and in '20 we did much better than we did in '16," Trump told Hannity. "Shockingly, we were supposed to win easily at 64 million votes and we got 75 million votes. We didn't win. The whole thing was shocking."

First of all, after two impeachment’s in his first term, how can he be shocked he lost?

Second of all, can someone post the interview? Hannity is such a goofball.

Like a famous fictional boxer said, tunnel vision makes the biggest telegraphed punch into a surprise shot.

Wow: He Investigated Comedians Too

Trump's DOJ spied on his own White House counsel too:

"Last month, Apple told Donald F. McGahn II, White House counsel to Donald J. Trump, that the Justice Department had subpoenaed information about an account that belonged to him in February 2018, and that the government barred the company from telling him at the time, according to two people briefed on the matter.

McGahn's wife received a similar notice from Apple, said one of the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter.

The disclosure that agents secretly collected data of a sitting White House counsel is striking as it comes amid a political backlash to revelations about Trump-era seizures of data of reporters and Democrats in Congress. The president's top lawyer is also a chief point of contact between the White House and the Justice Department."

Once again, it is all about projection with them.

Trump asked advisers and lawyers in early 2019 about what the Federal Communications Commission, the court system, and the Department of Justice could do to probe or mitigate SNL, Jimmy Kimmel, and other late-night comedians.

During his presidential transition period, Trump lashed out at Saturday Night Live, condemning it as "biased," and suggesting he and his team should be given "equal time."

In 2018, he did it again, blasting the NBC comedy show as a "spin machine," and suggesting that the broadcasts may not be "legal."

In February 2019, Trump upped the ante, raising the prospect of "retribution" against comedy shows.

A month later, he started referring to specific levers of federal power he would consider using to punish comedy programs that hurt his feelings.

Trump confirmed in a statement yesterday "that he believes the show was engaging in 'illegal' activity by making fun of him."

Seems Trumpers don't actually care about the First Amendment. But that's just more wannabe-dictator style shit Trump tried to get away with since he took office.

Trump Supporter Boasted of Assaulting Five Cops

A Florida man has been arrested in connection to the deadly January 6th riots at the U.S. Capitol. Brian Glenn Bingham, 35, of Port Charlotte, Florida is charged with federal offenses including assault, resisting or impeding officers, obstruction of law enforcement, violent entry and disorderly conduct, among other charges.

Bingham, who also has ties to New Jersey, was arrested in Alabama and made his initial court appearance in the Middle District of Alabama yesterday.

In one Facebook conversation cited by the prosecutors, Bingham answered someone who asked if he was OK with "I got to manhandle 5 cops and live to tell."

"LOL," the unidentified person replied. "All of this does not surprise me! Stay safe. Trump2020."

For Trumpers, blue lives only matter when they are taking black lives. When blue lives stand in the way of something they want, then Trumpers are full #ACAB.

Did Barack Obama inspire the most people as president?

Nathan Stanish
Presidential history buff - March 29

Oh no. Not even close.

That would be Trump.

Why? Two things.

Trump inspired 70 million people to vote for him again.
Trump also inspired 80 million people to vote against him.
I think it’s safe to say that’s a higher count than any other president.

Trump was an inspirational man. That’s why so many people felt inspired to get rid of him.
