Giuliani Ordered to Pay $400K in Failed Bankruptcy
Rudy Giuliani has agreed to a last-minute deal to end his personal bankruptcy case and pay about $400,000 to a financial adviser hired by his creditors, avoiding a potential deep-dive into the former New York City mayor's finances that was threatened by a federal judge.
The agreement was filed Wednesday in federal court in White Plains, New York. That came nearly three weeks after a judge there threw out Giuliani's bankruptcy case after criticizing him for repeated failures to disclose his income sources and to comply with court orders.
But after Judge Sean Lane dismissed the bankruptcy case, Giuliani's lawyers said he did not have the money to pay the creditors' forensic financial adviser as required under bankruptcy laws, according to the judge.
Giuliani agreed to settle outstanding fees he owes to financial investigators with profits from the sale of his multimillion-dollar Manhattan penthouse or his Palm Beach condo to bring an end to his tortured bankruptcy case.
The proposed agreement, which the court must approve, says he will satisfy the remainder of the roughly $400,000 debt with proceeds from whichever property he sells first: his $5.7 million Upper East Side E. 66th St. apartment, which he put on the market last year, or his Florida condo, valued at around $3.5 million, which is not currently for sale.
Judge: Election Workers Must Get Penthouse, Mercedes, Watches, $2M Owed by Trump

Disgraced ex-New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani's bid to reverse a massive defamation verdict was rejected, leaving him owing $146 million to two Georgia election workers that he defamed, and possibly complicating his arguments in bankruptcy court.U.S. district court Judge Beryl Howell ruled on April 15th that the verdict, in which Mr Giuliani owes the titanic amount to Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, still stands.
The judge wrote that the former mayor's "threadbare arguments" fell "well short of persuading 'the evidence and all reasonable inferences that can be drawn therefrom are so one-sided that reasonable men and women could not have reached a verdict in his favor.'"
A federal judge on Tuesday ordered former Donald Trump attorney and New York mayor Rudy Giuliani to turn over all his valuable possessions and his Manhattan penthouse apartment to the control of Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss, the Georgia election workers he defamed and to whom he now owes $150 million.
Judge Lewis Liman of the federal court in Manhattan said Giuliani must turn over his interest in the property to the women in seven days, to a receivership they will control. The judge's turnover order of the luxury items is swift and simple, but the penthouse apartment will have its control transferred so Freeman and Moss can sell it, potentially for millions of dollars.
The women, who counted Georgia ballots after the 2020 election, will also be entitled to about $2 million in legal fees Giuliani has said the Trump campaign still owes him, the judge ruled.

🙂
I hope they enjoy the penthouse, cars and other valuables. Good for them.
But they're never getting that two million Trump owes Giuliani, as Trump never pays his bills.

Watch him refuse to be vacate and declare squatters' rights, and then the NYPD raids the place to have him removed. That would be irony on a level never before seen
Right but he's dumb enough to make a mission out of barricading himself in the penthouse as a publicly stunt and refusing to vacate because "muh freedums!". Of course he would first break every mirror in the apartment so that he doesn't see himself illegally squatting in NYC or else he'd disappear in a puff of irony. I think there's a real chance of this happening. And yes, I have a hope-bias here, but it's still absolutely plausible

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's legal team filed a motion to jump ship from a case in which two election workers he defamed are trying to collect a $146 million defamation judgment.
Kenneth Caruso asked Wednesday that he and co-counsel David Labkowski be allowed to quit representing the disgraced coffee salesman and onetime lawyer for Donald Trump, citing New York rules that let lawyers bail on clients with whom they have a "fundamental disagreement."
They also invoked provisions that allow counsel to withdraw if their client insists on making claims in bad faith or "fails to cooperate in the representation."
They specifically cite his insistence on a defense that is "not warranted under existing law."
Reece's chocolate is shit. Tried it for the first time and was disappointed. 4/10.
I knew I shouldn't trust peanut butter. It's a load of shit.
Paul is nothing but a diode in the wall loser from New Joyzee that has to go through 5 toll booths to and from work in NYC where he answers calls from morons about why their tech is broken. Sounds like a nightmare. If I was in my 50s doing that shit, I'd kill myself or be a character from the American Office.
