Those of you who know me well know why this is a personal issue for me.

Looks like the Brits and the Canadians were getting the shittier, more dangerous posts.

Wouldn't this be less an issue for the US military, and more for the UK leadership?

If Brits are being killed disproportionately compared to Americans, I assume it isn't US generals causing this.

The British troops particularly the Paras, Marines and Ghurka's provided proportionally a higher number of combatnts per capita deployed. The figure is a little misleading because America deployed far more troops and had more deaths but of those troops deployed more Americans were non combatants. The Para's and Ghurkas particularly are also seen as perhaps the most extreme irreguar/regular units in the world outside special forces. So their is that.
