Meat I Am, the arguments have already been presented by multiple posters inside this thread. Apocalypse's shapeshifting allows him to throat plow Annihilus, or he can infect him with the T-VO, or he can physically beat the shit out of him, he can teleport the CCR away.

Nice fanfic. But seeing as how he plays cat and mouse with metas I highly doubt it. The truth is Apocalypse showings vary wildly. He is a localized threat and young Thor is the toughest opponent he's defeated. Amazing character, trash feats.
yeah i'm not getting it sin. his showings vary wildly because in most cases he isn't at full power. and it's almost always stated that he isn't. at his best he's been shown to be a team wrecker, and that includes the inhumans as well as the x-men--who btw have beaten herald level opponents in the past. loki didn't seem capable of taking apoc out--at least that's my impression of that skirmish. anny has been beaten repeatedly by the FF as well. i don't get why you think anny is out of apoc's league. /shrug
Then you have his showings against Exodus (a well-known team-wrecker), Cable with Psimitar, Ikaris with the Prime Eternal upgrade (confirmed in the same comic)...
Or Mister Sinister (another team-wrecker) shitting his pants and stating on panel he wouldn't survive the confrontation.

That's my whole point. I just don't see him performing at the level Annihilus operates at. He comes off limited outside tech and schemes and is not known for direct confrontations. Id love to see him contend on a higher level. But he's so mutant centric it's limiting imo to NY.
Annihilus at his best is a Galactic threat. Apocalypse is planetary. Not the same class of villian imo

re: sin--apoc is planetary because that's his purpose--to test HUMANITY, push it to be more than it is. he has no designs on being a galactic ruler.
anny is obviously powerful. i made the match up because i thought it would be close. but my opinion was always that apoc could win this. and while i'm not sure about the others, i'm not saying it's a sweep. anny's ccr CAN be pretty damn versatile and i think the biggest threat to apoc here would be energy drain--something he's been susceptible to in the past. anny has some exotic showings to be sure, but so many of them are one-offs it's hard to see him calling on those powers. you think anny wins 10/10?

I'll buy that. It would have been interesting to see him evolve past Terran issues but that's not going to happen with his new sympathetic villain angle.
I think physically Apoc has the edge but Annihilus CCR earns the win comfortably..6.5 maybe 7.
