sounds like it may be a spite.. Rogue will basically absorb all his powers etc.

Can she absorb through the graphed casing of Rhino?

They're comparable physically, although Rogue is much faster.

Granted, that's not really the crux of the matter. Rhino has no way to reliably deal with Rogue just draining him.
