Reasonably speaking, if Clark was able to exist in the 6th dimension due to the energy Mxy provided, then Mxy himself should have certainly been able to exist there as well.

More accurately, at some point WF and Mxy had struck a bargain, wherein Mxy agreed to cause a Crisis event for WF(which was the catalyst required to allow WF's Crisis Anvil to form.) The telepathic communication/dialogue between them was just WF 'reminding' Mxy to uphold to said agreement:

The 5D energy Clark has been imbued with from mxy for years, was supposed to allow him to survive in the sixth dimension. If it takes all of mxy abilities to open 1 portal to that realm, than it would take far more energy to survive in it.
Stackable energy = years of reserves. Which if mxy had, he wouldn’t of used up all of his abilities just to open up 1 portal to that dimension. So, in a moment( few seconds) mxy uses up everything in his tank to open up a portal to a realm that he cannot enter. So he amped Clark with his energy for years, to survive inside it would mean that Clark was packing more power than mxy himself. Years of Stackable energy > momentary few seconds energy.
Mxy is the strongest 5D imp, and he cannot enter the sixth dimension, while Clark was prepped to survive inside that realm for years from the strongest imp. So this version of Clark is above 5D imps.
Wf and mxy had an agreement, yes. And when time was of the essence, wf started to become impatient and speed things up to avoid his superiors from interfering. So Wf TP’d mxy and starro confirmed there was a voice inside of mxy head. No one could talk to mxy, not even batmite because his mind was being manipulated by a monitor.
