No surprise there, each subsequent film has upped the level of ridiculousness.

FF started out as a bunch of decent mechanics/street racers who used their talents to rob trucks of their cargoes of DVD players and dildos, fast-forward to FF8, they're super-powered people who use cars that defy the laws of physics to save the world.
