No, atheism is a shitty ideology and always will be and though our country may have fallen deeply into depravity over the last few decades (and we are only getting worse) the American people as a whole still cling to our Christian roots. Just look at what atheistic leaders have done throughout history.
Atheists love to attack Christianity because of the Crusades and the Inquisitions (both of which were actually carried out by Roman Catholics, not actual Bible-believing fundamentalist Christians; true christians were actually many of the victims of the Inquisitions), but when you add up the numbers atheist dictators are responsible for far more deaths than the Inquisitions and the Crusades COMBINED.
F*** atheism... and no, it is not "common sense" to be an atheist. That is one of the most backward things I've ever heard lol. It is much more logical to believe a higher power created the universe rather than it creating itself from nothing lmao. That violates the very fist law of thermodynamics and thus cannot be scientific. Yes, I know God creating it isn't scientifically provable either but the difference is that Christians don't claim what we believe is "science". But it is certainly more logical, that's for damn sure.

I am curious though, why create a topic if you know Christians posting in it is just going to end-up hurting your fragile, wittle atheist fee fees?
Is it because you know that the majority of the forum seems to be as like-minded and ignorant as heathens like you are and therefore will back you up in your retarded atheistic beliefs so you all can pathetically pat each other on the back and pretend like you've debunked God when in actuality you haven't debunked a damn thing? 😆 😆

Not at all. People underestimate just how much of a minority atheists really are in the Democratic party. They actually tend to be most white people, I have yet to meet an atheist person of color (They do exist I'm sure, just yet to meet them).
Thanks for confirming that you made this thread just to troll Christians.
I bet you are one of those pathetic people who click on Hovind videos just to troll Christians and Creationists in the comments section of his videos and don't even bother watching video lol.
Too bad....if you actually took the time to watch his videos you might learn something about actual science instead of the pseudoscience nonsense you've obviously been brainwashed with. 😉

Do people feel that Atheism in the U.S. has become acceptable enough that we'll see a major push in Atheists taking offices in the next few decades? And do you believe that would be a good thing?
You might get some poking up their heads but I seriously doubt they will gain a majority in either the house or senate.
Do I believe it would be a good thing? Eh, it depends on the individuals perspective more than simply being an atheist.

Originally posted by snowdragonIt should always come down to the individual but there is definitely I think a cultural stigma against atheists in this country.

And even though I think it's becoming less of a stigma there still exists a strong group opposed to atheists holding any positions of power.

I think he was expecting any Christians that posted to have some manners.
