I believe that his statement was accurate however having freedoms doesn't always means lots of choices.
Their people's day to day lives are almost identical to Americans in terms of their ability to live their lives.
Honestly given the social protections they're granted they have probably have more freedom to direct their lives. They don't have to worry about being employed to get insurance. They don't have to worry about going to jail over minor narcotic offenses. They don't have to worry about being underpaid to the point they live month to month. They don't have to worry about LGBTQ rights being violated by a vocal conservative group.
So in those aspects they're probably more free then Americans are.

Also it's telling that when I look up the most free countries in the world, other than American conservative sources, the U.S. is not listed in the top on any of the lists.
It seems New Zealand, Norway, Finland generally get the go ahead. While the U.S. generally lands in the middle area of these lists lol

The USA isn't perfect but there is a reason we are the third most populous country in the world with the most immigration.........Must be nice living in a countries that combined have less population than SoCal.
