Is it too late to do anything about the Climate Change?

Are we still asking if it's too late?

In a fortnight where we've seen the single biggest forest fire in californian history before the fire season even gets bad.

Unprecedented fires in Greece
Unprecedented fires in Algeria

The hottest temperature ever recorded in Europe of 48.8°c (119.8F) in Sicily.

I am convinced desertification is coming. Ice caps are melting oceans are rising. I am convinced in mainland Europe all of this is a problem but surely for anywhere not on the coast in Scotland this is welcome. I look forward to Holidaying in the tropical Highlands. Or am I missing something. Here in Africa it will be hell etc. But won't we do what we always do as a species migrate? I hear Siberia is nice this time of year.

Well interestingly, a number of studies indicate societal collapse will occur around the 2040s/2050s if we continue as we are now. With a narrow window of this decade right now to change course and avert disaster.

So no I don't think its too late to do anything, but we should all be very worried.

Good.

Humanity was a mistake.

Some societies will inherit the Earth regardless.

Humanity will never be a mistake, albeit we are flawed. Our conceptions and creations are deeply flawed and we dare to deign ourselves as usurpers. We are a cowardly lot.

So July also just happened to be the hottest month ever recorded.

I think the better question is... Is the resulting climate change likely to change society and civilization as we know it? Are we going to live in a literal Waterworld?

To be honest, while humanity is stupid, I think majority of us, if we feel that our lives and the way we live our lives is threatened, there COULD BE enough change to stop climate change hitting as bad as it could.

Unfortunately, it's unlikely to hit most until it's too late. I highly doubt anyone's house is going to be submerged or underwater in the next century, however.

People really need to grasp what climate lag is.

No they do not. Climate hysteria is something that nobody needs to understand.

Let it stay in obscurity along with flat earth sciences.

Politically manipulating to outright invading a country for their oil will now be replaced with "for their water".
