DEATH VALLEY, California, July 16 (Reuters) - An extreme heatwave peaked in the western United States on Sunday, with temperatures reaching 128 Fahrenheit (53 Celsius) in the California desert, while flash flooding continued to menace the Northeast, killing at least five people.

Nearly a quarter of the U.S. population fell under extreme heat advisories, partly due to a stubborn heat dome that has been parked over western states. While baking parts of the country, the heat dome has also helped generate heavy rains in the Northeast, a pattern expected to continue for days if not weeks, according to the National Weather Service. -snip

Pollution and the rate of change.

The meat industry will be worth over 1.3 trillion a year by 2027. Oil and gas is over 5 trillion a year. They're two of the main reasons why climate change denial is pushed hard and why virtually nothing is getting done to stop the self poisoning we're doing to our air, water and food.

The simple stupidity of human beings being able to try and reduce carbon emissions by changing a few things here and there was a dumb idea to begin with. Humans cant come together to do shit.

What we need is to think outside the box. Create a giant shield around the Sun that can absorb most of the rays.

And make cars that run on a different source of energy. Ban everything that would be harmful to the environment, starting with plastic.

Terraform the crap out of planet earth. Start astroid mining. Work on cold fusion.

I would even go as far as population control. Kill as many people as possible to save earth.

Sell us fossil while profiting off green. Just like plant based is sold alongside beef.
