Democrats, I think you've been betrayed...

I asked a perfectly reasonable question on Quora about why the Democrats never talk about unionization. Unionize Amazon, unionize Whole Foods, take up the cause. I even suggested rolling immigration into the argument, as many employers take advantage of a work ethic combined with ignorance of US labor practices to deny such rights as paid maternity leave, sick leave, or even basic safety protocols.

Alleged Democrats calmly told me they are not anti-union, but that unions are a double edged sword.

Oh so? Isn't that Conservative rhetoric?

Seriously, ask yourself why workers rights aren't even a public issue aloneside Black Lives Matter. My theory is, anyone can talk about being an ally, because words.are cheap. It doesn't cost them a dime to promote diversity and inclusion, because it's all people from the same labor pool.

But what is being done to hit the private sector in the wallet? You can be pro labor or pro employer, you can't be both.

Democrats back employers.

Someone who understands the instruction: Don't forget the nuts. For the record. Always a reciever, never a giver of nutjobs.

You were doing fine until you brought up the BLM stuff. Now you've basically justified people acting like jackasses towards you, even though the question itself of supposedly left-leaning politicians being against unions and how it ties in with immigration is a valid one.

You're your own worst enemy in this case.

I mean the answer is pretty simple. The GOP is so far right compared to the standard scale that the democrats pick up a bunch center right people who probably wouldn't be as pro-union as the ones center left would be.

Personally I think are unions are a good thing and we need a resurgence of them. I'm also sure the demcorats who called it a double edge sword aren't completely against the idea. They also probably want better working environments but they don't think a union has to be involved to get that environment.
