I feel like this movie deserves its own thread. It's a truly bizarre thing that now exists. It's one of those movies that is just astonishing that it exists...

What is everyone else's opinion? Do you think it's a botched attempt at creating a legitimate horror icon/franchise or an intentionally schlocky homage piece? I'm leaning toward the latter...

I’m a big fan of James Wan’s horror movies, but I just couldn’t get into this… it was so stupid.

Yeah, the ridiculous / stupid aspect is what gave it a different charm.

I found it entertainingly funny. It HAD to be intentional, right?

I didn't like the movie that much, tbh, but what I do like is that they told a director to go and make whatever movie he wanted. We need more of that as even if there are misses, there are bound to be hits too.

I think the best part is having seen it, watching the grossed out expressions of those who haven’t at the big reveal. 😆
