Fascism is an offshoot of socialism, so yeah you're right.

Providing and receiving isn't selfish.

dur facepalm ummm National Socialism and Socialism are opposite ends of the police spectrum as has been explained to many other accounts that post in a very similar manner to you.

Now they're not. National socialism is more akin to Stalinism-leninism, this is why Trotsky's call to world wide revolution was seen as sacrilegious.

Socialism, nationalistic or not, means individuals do not privately own the means of production. Do you agree with that ?

Nationalism means an inherent priority towards race/religion/heritage/genetics etc

Let's take an example. Irish republicanism was a movement to preserve Irish heritage, tradition, genes, language, religion etc. It's arguably a nationalist movement even though they were technically the oppressed group. Would you call them socialist?

It depends on whether they allowed individuals to own private property aka the means of production, or not.

To reword that: a country can be nationalistic and not socialist, nationalistic and socialist, not nationalistic and socialist, or not Nationalistic and not socialist.

I'd argue america is nationalistic and socialistic, plus corporatism = fascism.
