Heartbreaking letter from Jan. 6 detainee

It is inhumane what is being done to him and all other Jan 6 detainees. And before some a-hole says he deserves it for what went down on Jan 6, no, he doesn't. This is cruel and unusual punishment which is strictly forbidden by the Constitution.

The most someone can be legally held in solitary confinement is 15 days consecutively. He has been held there for way more than that.

For anyone who actually is concerned about his well being you can donate money to help him hire a better lawyer rather than having to settle for the court appointed attorney who is a joke. There is a link to a fund me page contained on the same page as his letter.

They should be in jail for their crimes, but they should not be subjected to cruel or unusual punishment.

What's funny, remember when Rightist argued that waterboarding, extended solitary confinement, sleep deprivation, fear coercion and sensory overload are perfectly acceptable and should be allowed to be used on prisoners, they renamed these tortures tactics as "enhanced interrogation".
