I plan to avoid the hype and just watch casually at some point.

Nolan has been over-hyped to me on too many occasions.

^^^I enjoyed Insomnia, Memento, The Prestige…Inception was okay…Interstellar was good if boring…detested the Batman trilogy…haven’t seen Dunkirk but want to…Tenet I lost interest in about twenty minutes in so yeah, I go case by case w. him.

Too much Nolan slander in this thread. He's never made a bad film. Even the ones that supposedly are, like Tenet, are better than 95% of the slop put out in theaters nowadays.

Insomnia was great.

Memento was f*cking awesome. Criminally underrated.

The Prestige was great.

Nolan’s Batman trilogy was great, but not 10/10 epic like fanboys make it out to be.

Inception was stupid. There, I said it.

I haven’t seen Interstellar, Dunkirk, or Tenet. I’m told they’re all good.

I’m a huge history buff and I work with radioactive isotopes for a living. I’ve always been fascinated by the Manhattan Project and the WWII bombings. Oppenheimer looks absolutely amazing.

^Agree with that. Except I've seen Interstellar, Dunkirk, and Tenet and found them all super overrated.

Tenet I didn't care for too much, can't say it was a bad movie, just not great. Though I should probably watch it again, I'm sure I missed some stuff the first time around being a Nolan film.

Dunkirk and Interstellar are great though imo.

I watched Tenet when I was in the hospital but I need to rewatch

seeing this tomorrow at 12:30 pm

Just got home from seeing this... I RARELY use words like masterpiece but this film is truly that. Everyone was well cast and they played their roles expertly. I liked how Quantum Mechanics was explained as well.. I highly recommend

Fuuuuck. I'm still going to wait. I'll enjoy it more at home with subtitles. I hear it's got the same Chris Nolan dialogue/audio issues.

Few hours for me. Hope its a good as Bruce says.

Fantastic film, drew me in, highly recommend. Best actor/support actors is to be had here.

My only real complaint was that Nolan sound stage where the volume of background sound is just too loud in certain scene.

I'm hearing mostly good things about this from friends, but I'm also hearing it's not what they expected.

That's sometimes a good thing.

I really enjoyed it!

So what are your thoughts on the film?

was a great great film, its good to see Nolan back on his game as Interstellar, Dunkirk and Tenet all missed the mark, way too pretentious and artsy for the sake of it aka Nolan getting too far up his own ass... but yeah, Oppenheimer was a fantastic return to quality for him.
