The combo of rage, multiple personalities (even when inactive, they're always there, hidden deep in his mind) and meditation techniques taught to him by Hiroim are what made him so unstoppable in WWH.

Whether or not psionics can work really depends on the incarnation and its mind state atm.

Reed got possessed by Doom's armor to the point where he became a bad imitation of Doom. Not sure if that counts.

When is the last time Batman was mind-controlled? We know he got mind-wiped by J'onn as revealed in Identity Crisis but outright mind-controlled?
