Objectification of women...

I like to think I'm a liberal guy, I think I am. I'm pretty down with women's issue but, I can't help myself, I objectify women all the time. I appreciatively look at good looking women. I stare at arses, speak to boobs and flirt. I am a touchy person, I touch shoulders and elbows of women I like during conversation. I talk quietly so some women lean in, I use negging, bantz etc... I call younger women "my dear" and play on my advancing age to lull them into relaxing with me. Does any of this make me a bad person? Am I out of date.

You probably just need to broaden your perspective and prospectives so you can be in the class you desire.

i guess some of that is objectification (talking to boobs for example. can't you just sneak peaks instead of burning a hole through them?). the rest just seems like standard courtship practice, the same way girls will sneak a few elbow/shoulder/knee/thigh touches and engage in compulsive preening. they too are trying to manipulate you into thinking romantically about them.

I've known women that wouldn't like the touching to the point that they'd think you were a pervert, and women that wouldn't mind it at all, so like most things, I think you can't be too broad with it.

As far as looking goes? As long as you're not staring like some weirdo, I don't think there's anything wrong with just looking. I think people put far too much of a stigma on "objectification" in general. Humans are for the most part, sexual beings. Part of that means using your eyes to find people that you think are sexually attractive. As long as you treat the person like an actual person when you do any more than just glance across the room, I don't see the problem.

Yeah, I actually have a problem with a lot of these new model photos outside clothing stores who aren't just a little curvier, but are basically obese. I get not having every model look anorexic, but I mean, obesity is not just unattractive, it's unhealthy. Visceral fat is a serious health problem.
