Somebody brought up how nobody was mad when the first Dead Rising was announced and wasn't a new Resident Evil. Nothing saying Capcom shouldn't make a dinosaur game not Dino Crisis but that red head wearing black clothing gives the impression Capcom knows what some out there want but screw 'em unlike Dead Rising's marketing that didn't feel as trollish.
One other defense I saw was that even if this new game was Dino Crisis, fans would be complaining about how different it looks/feels from the Dino Crisis they once knew, which fair, but such change is inevitable which RE had its fair share of, not all of which was well received. At least they’d be trying if it was Dino Crisis.
