Hogan vs. Piper is my actual pick, though.
WMIII w. Hogan slamming Andre would never have happened if the first WM had bombed or been forgettable.

As an example the main event of WMII was the sophomore slump of Hogan vs. King Kong Bundy, a match that never gets mentioned at all.

We got WMIII based on the strength of the first WM. With no Hogan Piper rivalry the business would look completely different today.
