Never met anyone in real life who actually thinks like this though. Someone who sees themselves being challenged because of perceived unfairness as an admirable quality to be admired.
Except for me that is. I love it when people yell at me if I'm gaslighting them. But I treat all confrontations like a sport, and am in it for the game instead of pride or status.
The truth is, I'm a devils advocate first and foremost. All I want is to see arguments. No excitement in consensus.
