Nice. And Diana is a peaceful person with a heart of Gold. That would always try to solve things without violence, and would never doubt to give her life to help and save others. In one of her fights with Cheetah for example, Cheetah eventually KO her. And we later find out, that the fight ended that way because Diana was holding back the whole time, since she didn't want to hurt Barbra. So Cheetah could have killed her there if she wanted to.

It does. You think in real life, nobody would decide to be killed instead of having to kill a friend? Or a son? Or a sister? You really think out of all the people in the world, that is something that could never happen? Stranger things have happened. And in the world of fiction specially one like the comics, you can play with it more freely because there is always the possibility of an external factor playing a part, depending on how the writer wants it to happen in the context of an already established plot. A villain got cocky and caused it. A distraction, a surprise attack etc. And in this case, the external factor was krypto. In that comic, Diana was never going to die for still holding back in that last moment from issue 40, because the writer already set the plot for krypto to come in and play a part. Now how would the fight have ended if Diana was to fight back with all she got and tried her best to win? That is a scenario that we will never know for sure.
