It's a touchy subject. It isn't the child's fault..... But I can't exactly say what my final decision would be. I'll know what to do if it ever happens, which I hope doesn't.
I don't know, I guess I'm neutral on the subject, but leaning on the option of having abortions available. I like the situation it is here right now.

I have no issues with Selphie, if you actually knew, you'd understand it's just a joke, at least from my side and probably her side. Discussions get heated, it's nothing personal and I'm sure she knows that.

Why are the cells/zygote taking priority? It's not a child at that point, and it's certainly not your fault you got raped OR that the zygote is there.
It's touchy if you're scared to make a decision to benefit yourself. Subjects like abortion are "touchy" because people are often scared to make a call.

Forgive me, but is a resolution in sight in this thread. I don't think I see one. This is an argument which really comes down to do you agree or not. All reasons for and against Abortion carry some weight when semantics are removed. Personally I believe in choice but I can see why others can be very against Abortion. It really depends so much on how an individual sees the world. I don't see a right or wrong here.

But we're not discussing beliefs or morals on their own.
Nobody is saying anyone has to like or dislike abortion, but to make it illegal or have a ridiculous, unreasonable restriction but on the procedure, based on nothing BUT your subjective morals, that's when it IS wrong.

As I said I am in favour of it. You're from the U.K? I don't think we would ever remove choice as far as a womans right to choose goes.
Did I state anything saying I thought an unreasonable restriction shaould occur based on anyones morals? I would say in places where Abortion is restricted it's usually due to the morality of said nation state. The people of said nation/state have a different belief system to you and I. It's the opinion of the majority usually on religious grounds if the nation is any kind of democracy. Your argument in this case would be about the seperation of the political and theological. I also believe that's more complex than us say the restriction is unreasonable if in that culture the religious code is the driving force behind the legislature and the politic. That's an discussion for another day though. Do I believe women have a right to choose "yes", do I think every culture should see it my way. No.
