If I recall correctly........I believe I heard somewhere that Sean Cunningham actually had an active role in not only script approval but also overseeing the movie..........which is something he hasn't done in a long time............
as for Wes Craven.......
He has no say whatsoever about anything. He owns nothing. New Line Cinema owns the copyrights and trademarks for Freddy Krueger and A Nightmare on Elm Street. Wes did the first movie.......he actually took an active role on the third movie (hence bringing back characters from the original)......and he did New Nightmare. That is it. He had no say about anything.......which is why NOES 2, 4, 5, and 6 are sub par compared to parts 1 and 3. I can't really blame him for part 7.........he was merely trying to come up with something original to reclaim the greatness of his original story...........he had little to work with as New Line had already ran his creation into the ground, he tried to start over with a fresh new look and it just didn't work. The only mention of Wes Craven on NOES 2, 4, 5, or 6 is that of Executive Producer.......which means nothing. It is an empty title which has nothing to do with the movie. He created the character of Freddy Krueger which enabled those movies to be made.........much like Kevin Smith is listed as executive producer of Good Will Hunting even though he had nothing at all to do with the movie. He merely made the movie possible by getting the script from Affleck/Damon to the studio enabling the picture to be made.
i liked 2 and 4 alot the acting sucked but they suck in all of them except the first, but if anything im truly glad they diddnt change freddy or jason around for FvJ im glad there keeping the original look for them, i like when freddy busts out with his power glove in revenge LOL when i fisrt saw that i laughed so damn hard

"in the second one he gets a burlap sack?"
no.......Jason already has the sack over his face the first time we see him.....in Freddy v/s Jason we find out that
Spoiler:
kids were teasing him trying to get him to put this sack over his head to hide his face right before he drowned.....he drowned holding the sack
"intresting. and how in a new begginging jason is not the killer???"
I forget the names but.......there is a fat kid that is axed to death by one of the fellow mental patients........it turns out that the killer is actually that fat kid's long lost father who just happens to be the paramedic that comes and claims his body. It is a dead giveaway when watching the movies as "Jason" or so we think character is wearing a hockey mask with a blue triangle on each cheek , not the hockey mask with one red triangle on the brow. At the end he is unmasked and we all find out......
"i've seen Hellraiser I, and III or was it II dont remember but both were good. Did u know they were going to name Pinhead "Nailhead" but Nailhead sounded stupid..."
actually his name isn't officially Pinhead at all........the character's name is actually Elliot Spencer. The only time he has ever been referred to as Pinhead is in part 3 and it's not used as his name......it's used as a slang insult. In Hellraiser he is credited as "lead Cenobite".......
After Hellraiser came out and Pinhead had no name other than "lead Cenobite". People (fans NOT the movies creators) began calling him Pinhead as a descriptive term because we didn't know his name. This has stuck with him and when they made Hellbound the credited him as "Pinhead" as it was the name given to him by the fans......even after his real name "Elliot Spencer" was revealed to us in Hell on Earth the name "Pinhead" has still stuck with the character.
I was unawair that Hellraiser was a novel before the movie was made.................I know he has released Hellraiser books but I have never, ever heard of him having a book about Hellraiser out before the movie...........hmmm..........what is the name of this book and when was it published? Sounds interesting and I want to see how much they changed the story.
