No it's just an original Capt. Marvel thing whom my father grew up reading and when DC brought the character back in 1973 I quickly became a fan because of the characters unique background like you favor whomever you do.

I was born in '61 and didn't learn of him until DC licensed him in '73 ( they didn't buy him outright until 20 or more years later) and brought him back that same year, my father taught me about him and DC reprinted a multitude of his Fawcett adventures along with new stories, he quickly became one of my favorites.
